We aim to provide a generally French feel to our catering with adaptations to cater for vegetarian tastes. The menu will always be exciting and tasty.

Lesley has a lot of experience in vegetarian catering having been responsible for the cooking in and management of Cartmel Craft Centre for several years from 1988 to 2002. The restaurant at the craft centre was entirely vegetarian and was a member of the vegetarian guild.

The weather is normally quite warm in summer and we would hope to eat outside on the terrace for much of the time although we can go inside 'if wet'.

A Note About Cheese:

There are a lot of very tasty French cheeses available and we would normally expect to offer a range of them as part of the fare. Most if not all of these will be made using rennet as a clotting agent and thus they are not vegetarian as defined by the Vegetarian Society. Many vegetarians eat such cheeses, since there are only traces of animal products, but if you do not then we would ask you to tell us when booking and we will ensure a supply of vegetarian cheese although this may be from a limited range.
