Lesley and Robert would like to welcome you to their ancient house standing on the edge of the picturesque bastide village of Clermont Soubiran in the department  of Lot et Garonne in the South West of the region of Aquitaine. The village is an ancient monument dating from the 13th century and is on the local tourist circuit of Bastide villages. It stands in a prominent position above the valley of  the Garonne.

Transport links are good from the UK.

We have grounds extending to some 6000 square metres with uninterrupted views to the North  over rolling agricultural land and to the South West towards the Garonne.

The house was restored in the French manner from a small cottage and large barn under the same roof between 1988 and 2004 when we bought it. We have since done some work to bring the property up to a more anglo-saxon sort of standard with extra plumbing, windows and doors and decoration throughout.

We are now able to offer Bed and Breakfast accommodation in rooms with en-suite facilities with the possibility of evening meals by arrangement. We cater exclusively for vegetarians.

Lesley is an established painter in watercolour, oils and acrylic/mixed media with a portfolio covering several styles.  She is an accomplished teacher and is able to offer courses by arrangement lasting from 1 day upwards. You may also try some work with glass and lead--perhaps a couple of days is a minimum for this.
